Classes of DITA elements are block in nature and can be interfaced with word using paragraph style formatting. Features that can be designed around this interfacing are describe here.
Block Level conref
Topics from other files can be referenced in DITA using the conref attribute. Word can use fields to link content from one word file into another. A method to leverage field document linking and DITA conref linking need to be devised.
